The basic difference between Sleep and Hibernation is that Sleep is a partially paused state of mind and body for the short term that includes inhibited muscles and sensory activity WHILE Hibernation is an inactive and depressed seasonal metabolic state that includes low heartbeats and breaths.

The key thing here You have to keep in mind is that Sleep always includes the normal metabolic rates, and that means our body at sleep burns calories to beat the heart and continue the breath. The human body is not made to hibernate. There are only a few animals that hibernate but mostly in winter and those animals are called endotherms.
